Facebook Enhances Privacy Policy … or not

December 11, 2009

The L.A. Times ran an interesting editorial today entitled  “The business of Facebook.”   The writer notes that Facebook, again succumbing to pressure from various groups like MoveOn.org, has revamped its privacy policy in ways that that may actually reveal more about a person than the previous policy.  I bumped up against the new policy earlier this week, and there were some options that gave me more control over outgoing information, but your name, pic, city, friends, and endorsed pages are out there for everyone to see.   I don’t personally mind, but my alter egos are a bit put out.  Can’t hide from membership in that radical disc golf group.
